On Friday morning, around 6:20 AM, a 25-year-old man was discovered deceased on a walking track near Fischer St in Goonellabah, a suburb of Lismore. A crime scene was immediately established to begin the investigation.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, a 31-year-old man was admitted to Lismore Base Hospital with severe head injuries earlier that morning, around 2:50 AM. He was subsequently transferred to the Gold Coast University Hospital and remains in serious condition. The circumstances surrounding his injuries are under investigation.
